it snowed again last night. not much of an accumulation but no accumulation would have been better. guess i’m getting to the point where i want more sunshine and warmer weather. these gloomy days are getting to me. especially since they occur more often than not here. this photo was taken on one of the rare days of sunshine. i have to admit i am looking forward to the end of this...

chris from the local camera store told me about a wildlife refuge where you could spot and photograph owls. today, i decided to go to the refuge. all i knew about the place i wanted to go was that there was a row of cottonwood trees with a row of smaller scrub like trees on either side. the owls live in the cottonwoods. i started at the very end of the trees seeing as i really wasn’t sure...

i’ve spent a lot of time recently reminising. mainly because i am normally too tired after work to go out and create new memories. bhutan is a place i like to revisit in my mind. i still have hopes of returning one day.

i’m never sure what to expect when i begin a new assignment. the hospital posses new situations, such as new people, new protocols, finding my way to the cafeteria (almost always done on the first day) and just in general finding ways to adapt to new surroundings. where i am put up to live for the next three to however many months is always a crap shoot. some places have been ok, some...

i tried to enter a post yesterday but was stopped mid way by an error message. so i assumed my good intentions were scratched for the evening. this morning when i went to try to reenter the photo it was there to my surprise just with no text. so consider this todays entry. this morning the feeling is the same as yesterdays ….. i wish i could just sail away.

new years resolution
i am terrible at new years resolutions. i decided i wanted to be more consistent with my postings. i already missed new years day. so much for resolutions. but today is a new day in a new year. i just hope dd is right and this is going to be a much better year.
