the original painting is considerably larger than is depicted here. i appreciated the entire painting but really liked the smaller sections i took photographs of.

museum
while taking a short break from the exhibits the other day i was sitting back and enjoying the actives outside. for some reason this little girl caught my eye so i picked up my camera and followed her. i found these 3 photographs very sweet and to me they told a story.
de young museum
went to the de young museum this weekend. after taking public transportation to places i’ve never been before and then getting off at the wrong stop and having to walk several blocks back and then finding out the exhibit i really wanted to see is no longer there i was rather disappointed. but i continued on. for some reason this piece put a smile back on my face.

it is the year of the dragon and there were dragons at the parade. dragons of every color and size. all were very animated and entertaining.

i went to the chinese new years parade in san francisco saturday. i never would have thought i would have waited on the curb for a parade for over 2 hours …. but i did, and it was worth every minute of the wait. i read for awhile and then as the crowds started gathering in ernest i took out my camera and decided to photograph some of those waiting. they were almost as interesting as the...
friends
d is on her way back home today. i didn’t get to spend as much time with her as i would have liked but i did enjoy the day we did get together. i hope d, n and z all have a great reunion.
